Digital Bangladesh
Digital Bangladesh means making all sector of Bangladesh connected by a
network with the help of digital technology. It is an ICT based society where
all information will be available. Making a digital Bangladesh is the most
important and proven step. Digital Bangladesh does not only mean the broad use
of computers; perhaps it means the modern philosophy of effective and useful
use of technology.
The aim of digital Bangladesh is to establish technology in education,
health, job placement, poverty reduction, commerce, agriculture and so on. Now,
it is the precondition of rapid development. There are many good sides of
digital Bangladesh. If it can be established, many closed doors will be opened;
transparency will be ensured; corruption will be reduced. Besides new
employment opportunities will be created and happiness will be ensured in our
personal life and in our national life. It will save people’s money and time.
At present, the government is going forward to achieve the goal of ‘Vision
2021’. So, they have connected people with the whole world economically,
politically, socially, academically and even culturally. Deductively,
government have emphasized on the four elements of ‘Digital Bangladesh Vision’.
They are human resource development, people involvement, civil services and use
of information technology in business. For it, govt. has included all class of
people in terms of technology. For making digital Bangladesh successfully,
government has to take some important steps. Firstly, continuous electric
supply must be ensured. Secondly, computer networks infrastructures should be
ensured should be developed across the country. Thirdly, ICT skilled manpower
must be ensured.
The government has done some admirable works in this case though the
corrupted are hindering. In the meantime, a new generation has come forward who
are innovative, positive thinker and optimist. We hope that the dream of
establishing a digital Bangladesh will be true.
